Happy Birthday Eric!!!

Today is my handsome man's 23rd birthday!! And in the 4+ years we have known each other, this will be the first birthday we have ever actually spent together...and it's in Europe! Who would've guessed?!

Anyways, Eric got tomorrow (Friday) off work so we'll have a 3-day weekend to celebrate and relax. Today I'm baking a "Better Than Sex Cake" (see the photo below) at Eric's request and we'll probably go out for a dinner here in Eschenbach. As for the rest of the weekend...I think we're planning on getting out and doing something fun, even though it's supposed to snow again.
It's so strange posting photos of his gifts before he has even seen them, but here you all go:

A big enough (but still small) BBQ. Eric pretty much has been talking about how he wants to become a "grill master" since we got engaged.
A bonzai tree! He was looking at a lot of them at OBI (hardware store here) and has kept up about how he'd like one. I think it's quite adorable.
And now, a few photos of my gift: Eric Matthew Clark.

Here he is enjoying a mojito on our Honeymoon. Somebody approached us at this restaurant and asked if we were from Hollywood. We felt like it.

Jane is the only girl who I'll share Eric's attention with. Before Eric and I got married he told me that if I hadn't fallen in love with her, it would've been a deal breaker.

Eric back in the good ol' days where he worked in NYC. We talked on the phone at least twice a day, and still apparently had no clue we were totally in love.
Eric is definitely one of the goofiest people I know. Sure, he acts pretty quiet around my friends and family...but he makes me laugh more than anybody in this world.

We only have a few photos of Eric during his time in Iraq. I don't know if that's a bad thing or not. I remember getting this photo via e-mail while I was in college, and showing my whole class. He makes me so proud.

Here we are on the best day of our life!! Was that an amazing weekend or what?
Happy Birthday E Clark! Thanks for making me history's luckiest lady. You're my best friend and I love showing you off to the world.
